Telling His Glorious Deeds

Lives changed during CYIA™

God worked in mighty ways through Christian Youth in Action® (CYIA™). The CEF staff watched as God built confidence in teens’ abilities in public speaking, classroom management, Bible teaching, & so much more while deepening their relationship with Him. One mom said that she saw growth in her daughter’s public speaking skills & ability to share the Gospel. God brought together friendships where teens encouraged, loved, & sharpened each other. One day, I (Jennifer) walked in on one of the girls crying, & several girls had surrounded her praying, listening, handing her tissues, & sharing Bible verses with her. It was so beautiful that I quietly closed the door because they did not need me.

Mark your calendars: CYIA™ 2027 training camp is June 4-10. Then teach at least 2 weeks of Bible clubs in North AL. CLICK HERE for more info. App coming mid-Jan!

Teachers Equipped with Training - How has CEF® training impacted your ministry?

“The training was very helpful--to energize me with fresh ideas before we had our first meeting--how to keep the kids engaged. Also was good to go through the basics of counseling a child--to determine their true heart's need.” - MM

“The training solidifies ‘teaching in the trenches’ because when you only have 25 minutes at a school [morning GNC] to be with a group of over 70 students, in which 10 minutes or more are transition time, suddenly the 10-15 minutes you have of their undivided attention is God's prime time for planting seeds & investing in their spiritual lives. There is not time for a do over or a back up plan. The lessons learned at CEF training kick in to full speed as the Good News is shared through Scripture, Bible lesson, & song. Yes, & thankfully, the presence of the Holy Spirit each week takes our feeble attempts at teaching to make a wonderful presentation of God's Love.... Then these children leave to start school filled with the love of Jesus & ready to share that love with others! Nothing like an Early Morning Club to start your day right for the rest of your day; keeps a smile of your face & a song (CEF Bible verse song) in your heart all day. Often opens up opportunities to share with others who want to know why you are so happy. ‘I am so glad you asked. Let me tell you what I got to do this morning’." -LA

You too can be equipped to tell this generation of our marvelous God & His wondrous deeds!

Prayer Warriors Provided

Prayer is the foundation of our ministry. We ask the Lord of the Harvest to send us faithful prayer warriors, & He has. Over the year, God has done great things, opened doors, & taken our feet to children who needed to know Him because of prayer. This summer, we shared with 426 children, & only a few of them had heard about Noah or Zacchaeus. God stirred in 18 volunteers to give 3.5 hours of their Saturday to Teacher Training-amazing. We have teams reaching, connecting, & ministering to children & their families.

This effectiveness comes from God calling so many to faithfully pray. Will you please join us on behalf of the children? CEF of North AL can email YOU a monthly list of 4-5 praises & needs, called “Before the Throne” so YOU can fight for this generation with prayer.

Friendships Formed

As I relax & visit with our beloved ministry partners, God reminds me over & over of His wonderful gift of friendships. Friends that share a great love for God & others. Friends that faithfully uphold each other in prayer. Friends that faithfully encourage one another to keep on keeping on in obedience to go & share the Gospel. Friends that build up God-given gifts & strengths. Friends that join you financially in cheerfully giving to reach the largest mission field - children. As I finish my second year as Local Director of CEF of North AL, how I thank God for the friendships that He has given. by Jennifer
