Training in person for Good News Club Volunteers
We desire to help prepare you to minister even more effectively to children in a Good News Club, in your church, and in your community! We offer high quality training that is proven effective. However God has called you to serve Him in ministering to children, we are eager to assist you and to equip you more fully.
Child Evangelism Fellowship® is a willing and specialized partner in reaching the children in YOUR communities. CEF of North Alabama offers many opportunities through out the year to plug into ministry and receive training that leads to confident and effective ministry in a variety of settings. Whether you want to optimize your church’s impact and strengthen your skills in a GNC, your Sunday School, or another teaching environment, CEF can help!
We provide training for: Good News Club volunteers, church children’s volunteers, youth groups, those wanting to minister to children in their communities, parents, grandparents, and more!
Good News Club Training & GNC Celebration
Child Evangelism Fellowship of North Alabama, local churches, and believers are working together to take the good news of Jesus to children through Good News Club® in public schools and in the community!
Two trainings will be offered this Fall - one in Decatur and one over Zoom.
*In-person Training: Saturday, August 15 in Decatur at 9am-12:30pm. There will be 2 training tracks - The Basics and Beyond the Basics. Deadline to register is Friday, August 7. We will email you a confirmation, location, and any needed information. Click here to register.
*Zoom training: Saturday, Aug 29 at 9am-12:30pm. (Both tracks offered) Deadline to register is Wednesday, August 26. Click here to register.
The Basics Track training is for new volunteers and is also an excellent refresher for returning volunteers, especially if it has been a few years since last attending a training. Volunteers must attend a GNC training to be able to teach the Bible lesson or the memory verse or to counsel a child for salvation. Beyond the Basics Track is for returning volunteers ready for more.
The training is required for those teaching the Bible lesson or memory verse or counseling a child for salvation. (If you a attended a GNC training in the last few years, you are up-to-date on your training. You are welcome to attend again but not required.)
The GNC Training is also excellent for children’s ministry volunteers and leaders, pastors, teachers, and parents. Included are sessions on how to guide a child to the Savior with careful counseling questions, to teach Gospel-packed Evangelistic Bible lessons to kids, to help kids know & apply Bible verses to their lives, how to conduct a GNC, and more!
GNC Celebration is in Decatur at 12:30pm-2.
This is a time for GNC volunteers and church partners to celebrate what God did last GNC year, thank Him for what He will do this coming year, and to fellowship together. Deadline to register is Friday, August 7. We will email you a confirmation, location, and any needed information. A boxed meal from Gibson’s will be served to those who register by the deadline. Free Demos: series Bible lessons, songs, counseling, and Wordless Book!
1. Go to cefcmi.com and create a free account.
2. Click on "courses" at the top or the book symbol on the left sidebar.
3. Scroll through the courses until you reach the series you are wanting, for example Jesus: God Who Saves. It will have the picture of the series. They are listed alphabetically.
4. Click the image or title to enter.
5. Click "take this course" on the right side. It is free.
6. All the demos will now be unlocked for you.
7. The next time that you login, this course will be in your "my courses" for easy access. It is a graduation cap icon on the left sidebar. You can also access it from the courses tab at the top and then selecting the my courses button.
