Boys & Girls know the Lord

“Why teach a GNC?” Our Attalla Good News Club (GNC) team members each passionately replied: “So boys & girls will know the Lord.” God stirred in the hearts of over 150 volunteers to teach GNC.

We have 19 GNC teams that YOU can join & more just beginning to form so that children can hear about Jesus. You don’t have to be a teacher. When GNC kids were asked, “What is your favorite part of club?”, ”SNACK!” was the reply. YOU can provide snacks, pray for the children & team, make take home bags (encouraging Bible reading), build relationships with children as a helper, & more.

Sept 2024-Aug 2025:

  • 32 Bible clubs

  • 15 ministry events

  • 2,072 children heard the Gospel

  • 15 children counseled for salvation

  • Over 150 volunteers had the privilege to share their faith with the next generation & build connections with kids & families.

The Sept 2025-Aug 2026 ministry year has started with a bang!

After being the busiest spot at the Madison St Festival (MSF) last year, we were given double the space this Oct. More than 700 children (plus parents) heard the Gospel while making Gospel bracelets with 18 volunteers in 7 hours! This school year, 19 GNC’s have begun, & over 600 kids have heard the Gospel!

“I wish you would come every week!”

A young girl wanted to learn more about Jesus this summer. God used her to guide Jennifer & Kathryn to teach a weekly GNC at that club. We are thrilled to have Jennie & Bonnie, Kathryn’s 12 year old niece, join our team. Bonnie took our training classes & practices her teaching assignments before sharing with kids each week. We love equipping Bonnie to reach 18 kids excited about the Bible & beginning to understand Gospel truths for their lives.

  • $500 cost of 25 background checks for volunteers

  • $1,000 cost to rent facilities in schools for GNCs 1/3 year this GNC year

  • $2,500 cost to start a new GNC

$40,000 by December 31 to meet the needs of the year

Faith GROWING - A Story of Prayer, Patience, Pursuit, & Provision

Peter first volunteered with CEF at the MSF last fall. He became electrified as he shared the Gospel with kids & wanted to do more - He wanted to start a GNC at his local school! Peter prayed, talked with CEF staff, & prayed more. During this time of praying & waiting, he joined the local committee & became active sharing about CEF.

Over the summer, he talked to people at his church & was surprised as people started volunteering to be on a GNC team because “I didn’t know if anyone would want to help.” Then more people volunteered! Jennifer & Peter met with the principal & received an enthusiastic yes!

Peter’s prayer, patience, & pursuit of a GNC were faith building as God provided each piece along the way, & the first club meeting was held on Oct 16 reaching 26 children!
